LAILAIQU grew out of a desire to give independent travelers a solid foundation for planning a trip to China. RV travel offers wonderful freedom, but it also requires an understanding of cross-cultural processes in advance.
We have traveled throughout China for many years and bring together our organizational experience to reduce bureaucratic uncertainty—transparently, reliably, and as equals.

Do I need a Chinese driver's license?
Together, we clarify which driving permit and additional documents are required for your specific vehicle and route.
Yes. Foreign and international driver's licenses are not recognized in China. We can help you apply to the authorities for the required temporary Chinese driver's license.
Which documents should I check?
We review your passport, visa, and the formal requirements for driver's license recognition and local driving permits well in advance.
Can I travel with my own RV?
It is possible, but involves considerable administrative requirements (importation, license plates, and a deposit). Local partner rental options are generally the preferred choice. Bringing your own vehicle requires separate permits.
For most guests, renting a vehicle locally is much easier—but if you are interested in bringing your own vehicle, please feel free to contact us.
How is the route planned?

German and English throughout, including help interpreting in everyday situations on the ground. Chinese is also spoken.
How does communication work on the road?
German-speaking support, local partners, and translation assistance make communication on the ground easier.
Do I need RV experience?
No, but it helps. Beginners are welcome—the on-site orientation and ongoing support have you covered.
How large are the groups?
We deliberately work with small groups rather than large tour buses—the exact group size depends on the route.
When is the best time to travel?
The ideal time depends on the region, elevation, and the kind of experience you are looking for. We plan your dates to suit the route.
Where do we stay when camping?
The itinerary includes suitable campsites and overnight options. We prepare the specific selections transparently.
What should I know about entry and trip arrangements?
